For a thousand years a protector spirit has lived here, watching over the forest, and today a monk arrives in search of him. From his vantage point at the edge of the forest, he breaks into a wide grin to watch the festivities in the distance, where an elegant gisaeng commands the attention of the fete with a drum performance. She heads to the front gate, where Seo-hwa refuses to step foot inside. So Soo-ryun orders her servant to strip Seo-hwa; nothing like some good-old-fashioned shame to knock that chip off her shoulder. Her skirt is torn off next and all Seo-hwa can do is shake in shame. With only her underclothes left, the men tie her to a tree, to remain bared to the world until madam Soo-ryun orders otherwise.

Seo-hwa's first "patron" will be Jo Gwan-woong Lee Sung-jae , the man who betrayed and killed her father. Before Jo Gwan-woong arrives, Dam swaps clothes with Seo-hwa so that she can run away, chased by Gwan-woong's men. Gu Wol-ryung Choi Jin-hyuk , a mystical forest protector and gumiho , finds Seo-hwa unconscious and, as he had fallen in love with her, protects her.

When Seo-hwa wakes up, she too falls in love with him and marries him after he tells her that both Dam and Jung-yoon were able to run away and are safe. In actuality, Jung-yoon has been hanged, whereas Dam has committed suicide. Wol-ryung, unable to tell her the truth, lied to her and did not tell her that he is a gumiho. Wol-ryung decides to become human in order to be with Seo-hwa. To do so, he must live 100 days without showing his true form to a human, without taking a life, and must help anyone that needs aid.

But if he fails, he'll lose any chance of ever becoming human, and will become a demon for the next thousand years. Wol-ryung successfully lives most of these days following these rules, but one day, Gwan-woong's men find Seo-hwa alone in the forest.

Wol-ryung rushes to help her and reveals his true form, massacring the soldiers. Seo-hwa, horrified, leaves him, and he is later killed by the righteous soldier Dam Pyeong-joon Jo Sung-ha , who had been told that the gumiho was murdering innocents. Seo-hwa soon discovers that she is pregnant with Wol-ryung's child and gives birth to a son.

Realizing that the baby isn't a monster and regretting her betrayal to Wol-ryung, Seo-hwa entrusts the baby in the care of a monk, So-jung Kim Hee-won. She then confronts Gwan-woong, but is killed.

Kang-chi is notorious in the village as a troublemaker, but he is good-hearted and loyal, and beloved by the servants at the Hundred Year Inn, which the Park family runs. While having a small feast by the river, Lord Park heard a baby crying, he then saw this basket flowing in the river, he held it and saw a baby.

Yisabel – My Eden (Gu Family Book OST)

So Jung, a monk best friend of Wol Ryung told Lord Park to take care of the baby and adopt him as this child will bring luck and fortune to their business which is at that time not doing any good.

So Jung also gave Kang Chi a bracelet and told Lord Park not to remove it until he reaches the age of 20. This bracelet will be Kang Chi's protection that would hide his real identity of being a half divine creature and half human.

Kang Chi is loved by so many.

He's a savior of the weak and abused, a good son to his adoptive father, Choi who's a servant to Lord Park. He's a happy go lucky kind of guy who has a warm heart for everyone. And even though he was not a biological son of Lord Park, he was treated as one.

Later on, he also then realized that he wasn't an ordinary human being, that he was something even more special. The Review Gu Family book is really entertaining. You will fall in love with love more than a hundred times, will eventually fall for Kang Chi's killer smile, be lost in a whirlwind of emotions - hate Jo Gwan-Woong and want to stab him million times, fear death and will admire the strength, goodness and determination of all the characters. They are my favorite on-screen couple now, their love isn't developed in a matter of seconds unlike other drama series, it was a progressive love story that ended up to be a real one.

The strength they draw from each other made me realize that love like this is just once in a lifetime.

They are willing to save each other even though it means dying. I smiled a lot, got really scared when they were using their bow and arrows, fell head over heels for their love story and cried for the heart breaking scenes which almost lead them to death.

They also had the best kissing scene ever, it's so passionate that you would really think that they were real couples in real life.

Arghhh, sweetness overload. I will wait.

The One Sings “Best Wishes to You” for “Gu Family Book” OST

I think I developed too much hatred on him until the episode 24, imagine being there from beginning to end. They should have shortened it or at least 15 episodes and added new villains as effective as him. He is so damn annoying!

Gu Family Book related stuff I think they have missed so much on this. The title is Gu Family book, but what happened to it? It got lost after the few last episodes, there's no conclusion to it.
