After over a dozen delays Resident Evil Archives II was finally released by Brady, and it was worth the wait. The book is beautifuly presented.
I bought the first Archives when it came out, and the book itself is quite nice and full of pictures; however, a fair amount of the writing had simple errors like no one proofread or edited the book.
It was like someone said "Okay, done, go print this for the final copies right now! I remember last time I read archives, everything was fine Xander Ashford , AM Where exactly?
Well, bear in mind that it was years ago that I read through this, and I have read a fair amount of Ashford material not in the Archives, but if memory serves something was wrong with either Alexander or Edward Ashfords' write-up.
I think it was something most would consider trivial and easy to overlook, but if you have an Ashord obsession, you notice. When I get home, I can flip through the book and see if it actually was that. Now, I really can't remember Thank you for heads up, I actually didn't keep an eye on English translation release date, thinking it would take them forever to, these news kinda took me by surprise.

It's a bit hard to recommend this book on a number of reasons. For one, the translation for much of the book is rather terrible with overly melodramatic retellings of the RE4 and 5 stories.
Secondly, the format of the book is repetitive to the extreme. Here's the story of RE5; here's a breakdown of all the characters; here's a description of the evil corporation, complete with a breakdown of half of the game's characters again; here's some artwork that describ Another book for RE completionists.
Here's the story of RE5; here's a breakdown of all the characters; here's a description of the evil corporation, complete with a breakdown of half of the game's characters again; here's some artwork that describes the characters again And so on and so on. Still, if you want to get a master's degree in Resident Evil, this is probably the quickest way. I love RE4 and think 5 was pretty good too so it was very enjoyable to read more about each game.
The highlight for me was the relatively short section with concept art for both heroes and enemies.
Its really interesting to see what their initial ideas were a RE Archives is a really well-made book about the more recent Resident Evil games with lots of information for fans of the series. Its really interesting to see what their initial ideas were and how they developed.
There are some really beautiful, but tiny pictures of various locations from the games which could have been really great if they were bigger. My only complaint is that most Resident Evil fans don't need a detailed summary of the entire plot of RE4 or 5. We love these games and have played them already for their story.
