Description Vividly illustrating the techniques of a legendary innovator, this definitive examination explains how to survive attacks on the street, increase training awareness, and develop body movements. Originally compiled as a four-volume series, this revised edition breathes new life into a classic work with digitally-enhanced photography of jeet kune do founder Bruce Lee in his prime, a new chapter by former Lee student Ted Wong, and an introduction by Shannon Lee.
Combining both of these talents provides us with a very well written book. The pictures are plentiful and they are fantastic.
I really enjoyed this book and would heartily recommend it to all fans of martial arts and without reservation to Kung Fu Kingdom readers! Too much time is spent on developing skill in techniques and not enough in physical participation.
Practicing your skill in fighting is important, but so is maintaining your overall physical condition.

A solid groin blow can quickly incapacitate or even cause death to a man no matter how physically powerful he is. Even a light blow can render a man unconscious. Some martial arts call such a vicious blow too cruel and inhumane. But Bruce Lee always felt that your main purpose of learning the martial arts or self-defence arts is self-protection or self-preservation.
In other words, Bruce Lee always emphasised that a martial artist must constantly be aware of his surroundings. In Black Belt Magazine released an update to this book which was unavailable in hardcover form since The new version contains a new introduction by Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee.
It also contains a new chapter entitled Five Ways of Attack by Mr. Ted Wong. Wong is a first generation martial arts student of Bruce Lee.
Wong is also in many of the illustrated pictures within the text along with Bruce Lee depicting various Jeet Kune Do principles and techniques. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
