Peace be upon you and also upon those souls who accompanied you to your annihilation. Upon you and upon all of those who were killed is the Salam of Allah from me for eternity, as long as the night and the day remain. Surely the tribulations are great and unbearable and your tragedy is great for us, and for all the people of Islam and unbearable and great is your tragedy in the heavens and for all of the dwellers of the heavens. May the curse of Allah be upon those people who killed you and may the curse of Allah be upon those people who made it easy for them by preparing the grounds of your killing. I turn to Allah and I turn towards you and turn away from them and their adherents, followers and friends. I am at peace with those who make peace with you and I am at war with those who make war with you until the Day of Judgment. May the curse of Allah be upon the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan and may the curse of Allah be upon Bani Umayyah. And may the curse of Allah be upon the nation that carried out, saw and were silent at your killing. May my father and mother be sacrificed for you. Surely my sorrow for you is great and I pray to Allah who has honoured your status and has also honoured me through you that He grant me the opportunity to seek your revenge with the victorious Imam from the family of Muhammad.

I detach myself from them and present myself to Allah and to you, I first seek greater intimacy with Allah and then with you to win your love and patronage, and to make friends with your friends, cut off all links with your enemies, and with those who planted the seeds of hostility against you, and reject and discard their associates, their followers and their friends. I make peace with those who made their peace with you, I search out and confront those who waged war against you, I make friends with those who stood by you, I strive against those who came in conflict with you, therefore, I make a request to Allah to acquaint me with the awareness that perceives you and your friends, to set me free from the corrupting influence of your enemies, to make me keep company with you in this world and in the Hereafter, stand firm beside you and follow your footsteps closely in this world and in the next world.

I beseech Him that he helps me to reach your highly praised station, given to you by Allah, to meet you , that He provides me the opportunity to fight for justice and fairplay along with and under the leadership of the rightly guided guide in your progeny who surely will come and speak the truth. I beseech Allah in the name of your right and the purpose He assigned to you, that He overwhelms me with grief in memory of your sorrows, more than the personal grief that torments any one who is in great agony, sorrows which have no parallel and overshadow all calamities that took place in the history of Islam, for that matter, through out the whole universe.

O my Allah, in my on the spot situation, treat me like him or her who obtains from You Your blessings, mercy and forgiveness. O my Allah, bring me to life again, after death, in the place Mohammad and his "Aal" children are dwelling, and make me depart from this world like Mohammad and his "Aal" children had left,.

O my Allah this day is a day of rejoicing for the "Bani Umayyah", the herd of hardened criminals, the eternally damned and accursed group, a fact that had been made public by You and by Your Prophet blessings of Allah be on him and on his children , who, in every place and at all occasions, drew attention of people to this truism. O my Allah condemn and damn Abu Sufyaan, Yazid son of Muwa'awiyah and let it be an everlasting curse upon tem from You.

Today the descendants of Ziyaad and Marwan make merry, laugh and dance because on this day they killed Husayn blessings of Allah be on him. O my Allah, therefore, double up the curse You bring upon them and also the punishment You decree for them.

O my Allah, I seek nearness to You today in this frame of mind, cutting off all links with them for the rest of my life, denouncing them because of my love for Your Prophet and his children, peace be on him and them. Then again say times: O my Allah condemn and damn the first tyrant who unjustly and wrongfully usurped that which rightly belonged to Mohammad and the children of Mohammad, and bring curse upon those who, after him, followed in his footsteps.

O my Allah condemn and damn those conspirators who vexed and harassed Husayn, showed eagerness, agreed mutually, and joined hands to kill him. O my Allah bring curse upon all of them. Peace be on you, O Abu Abdullah, and on those souls who came to your camp to put themselves at your disposal.

Ziyarat Ashura - Wikipedia

So far I am alive and the days and nights follow each other I invoke Allah to send blessings on you for ever and ever. May Allah not make my this pledge of close association, physical as well as spiritual, with you the last fulfillment. Peace be on Husayn, and on Ali son of Husayn, and on the children of Husayn, and on the friends of Husayn. You may even recite only " Peace be on Husayn, and on Ali son of Husayn, and on the children of Husayn, and on the friends of Husayn.

O my Allah, let the curse I call down on the head of the first tyrant stick like a leech; and stay put for ever on the first, then the second, the third and the fourth.

O my Allah damn and call down evil on the fifth, Yazid son of Mua'awyah, and bring a curse upon Ubaydullah son of Ziyaad, ibna Marjanah, Umar son of Saad, and Shimr, and on the descendants of Abu Sufyaan, on the descendants of Ziyaad, on the descendants of Marwaan, till the Day of judgement.

Then go in Sajdah prostration and say: O my Allah! All praise is for You alone ; praise of the "Ever-thankful to You", who glorify You whatever come to pass.

All praise is for Allah for my deep-felt intense grief. O my Allah make available for me the recommendations of Husayn on the day I present myself before You, let me stand firm in safety before You on account of my sincere attachment with Husayn, along with him and his comrades, who sacrificed everything they had heart, mind, soul and life for Husayn, peace be on him. Then say: Then go is Sajdah and say: Ziarat Ashura Ghair maroof.

Ziarat Taziat after asr on Ashura. I turn to you and Allah, away from them, their henchmen, their followers and their friends, O Abu Abdullah, I pray and invoke Allah to send blessings on you.

May Allah condemn and damn the family of Ziyaad and the family of Marwaan; May Allah condemn and damn the group and the tribe of Umayyah, one and all, altogether; May Allah condemn and damn the son of Marjaanah; May Allah condemn and damn Umar son of Saad; May Allah condemn and damn Shimr; May Allah condemn and damn the people who bridled the horses and saddles for your martyrdom.

I disconnect all links with those who, in the beginning, took the first steps to take liberties with and bear hard upon you, I take refuge with Allah and His Apostle blessings of Allah be on him and on his children , free from the guilt of associating with those who laid the foundation for your suffering , devised and carried out their corrupt plan of action, boldly gave currency to reign of terror and cruelty to oppress you and your friends and followers; I detach myself from them and present myself to Allah and to you, I first seek greater intimacy with Allah and then with you to win your love and patronage, and to make friends with your friends, cut off all links with your enemies, and with those who planted the seeds of hostility against you, and reject and discard their associates, their followers and their friends.

Ziarat e Ashura With Urdu Translation

May my father and mother be ransoms for you. Extremely insufferable is my commiserations with you;.

O Allah, please make me illustrious in Your sight. I do seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger,. I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah and His Messenger,. A mursal tradition is defined as one which has either all or some of the intermediary narrators omitted.

Shaykh Subhani writes that such a report cannot be used as evidence. Indeed matters are of three types. A matter, whose correctness is established, has to be obeyed.

A matter whose error is manifest has to be avoided and finally a matter which is doubtful and ambiguous has to be returned to Allah and His prophet. As mentioned earlier, a tradition that is simply transmitted but not practiced inspires doubt about its authenticity.

Therefore, if a renowned and practiced tradition is one that has no doubt in it, then a rare tradition would have the opposite connotation: there would be no doubt about its invalidity from a logical perspective.

When the validity and correctness of one part of a proposition is certain and beyond doubt then the other part is obviously invalid and incorrect. Otherwise it would require the combination of certainty and doubt regarding a single matter, which is logically unacceptable. For example, if the veracity of Zayd is beyond doubt then its contrary, his dishonesty, is negated beyond doubt too.

The rare tradition cannot be said to belong to the third part of the tripartite division, that is, a matter which is dubious and which requires its knowledge to be returned to God and His Prophet. The significance of a renowned tradition having its meaning elucidated as above lies in its ability to stimulate certainty with respect to its origins being from an Infallible. It is this that makes it the subject of the principle of the probative authority of a tradition. As a result, the faith and devoutness professed in it has come about in light of its probative authority and the recitor will be awarded according to the rewards specified in the tradition.

However, to restrict oneself to its conclusions and to disregard the large amount of circumstantial evidence proving its authenticity and correctness would be to make a mistake. The circumstantial evidence presented in this study will perhaps bestow a level of reliability to the narrators or to the tradition itself.

However, the authenticity of this attribution has not been verified. In light of these facts, how is it possible to rely on this work?

Ziarat-e-Ashura With Urdu Translation

In addition to the above, circumstantial evidence related to this book proves that it does not belong to the aforementioned individuals. Furthermore, the early scholars of Qum have disparaged a huge number of the narrators but their disparagement was not based on the report of a veracious person from a veracious person, but rather on the basis of their theological differences with those narrators.

Therefore if they noticed anything in a tradition that seemed like an exaggeration al-ghuluww in doctrinal issues, they would criticise the tradition as being exaggerated or fabricated. In short, it is clear that the early scholars disagreed on theological issues such that there would be a matter considered by some of them to amount to disbelief or doctrinal exaggeration while the same matter would be considered a requirement of the faith by others, or it could be that the matter was neither this nor that.

A muwathaq tradition is one that has been transmitted from an Infallible by a continuous chain consisting of veracious individuals, some of whom may espouse unorthodox beliefs and ideas.

However, due to the criteria established in the science of hadith, verification of such a tradition will not have probative authority. This is because every tradition has an effect and a bearing on the soul of an individual with respect to its reliability. Therefore, if reasons for its reliability increase then the degree of its reliability also increases in the estimation of a person.

One should therefore not be hasty in rejecting this salutation on the basis of the weakness of its chain. The principle of leniency in deducing proofs for recommended acts is one that is widely known among scholars. The significance of this principle is that a researcher does not insist on the fulfilment of those stringent conditions that are necessary in establishing obligatory acts and duties, when attempting to ascertain recommended acts. For example, one of these stringent conditions is that the narrators in a chain must be absolutely reliable and trustworthy.

This condition is however, not mandatory in ascertaining recommended acts. It is sufficient even if a recommended act is transmitted by means of an inferior chain in terms of the reliability and trustworthiness of the narrators who appear in it.

This chapter contains traditions on the acts required to be carried out in preparation for the formal rituals. However, further discussion on this subject is not necessary here as the issue has been considered at length both in this paper and in our jurisprudential lectures.

Some pertinent points have been mentioned briefly here. It ensued from a pained and sorrowful heart, denouncing the politics of tyranny and oppression perpetrated by the Banu Umayya against the Ahlulbayt and that it was and continues to remain radiant throughout the centuries. This essay has been written in order to set aside any doubts, regarding the authenticity of the recommendation of this pilgrimage. Each report has its own chain of transmission.

The first report simply describes the rewards of visiting the grave, without providing the well-known text of the salutation, which is supposed to be recited at the site of the grave. However, the two other reports both state the text of the salutation. In addition, Ibn Qawlawayhi d. Therefore the reports total five in number. In what follows, the five reports and their respective chains of transmission will be presented and examined.

The First Chain of Transmission. Thereafter he should recite two units of prayer. This ritual should be done at the beginning part of the day, before the sun passes its zenith. Some of them are to console others of their feelings of distress.

If the need is fulfilled, it will not be blessed and he will not see any goodness in it. None of you must attempt to accumulate anything for the future in his house on that day; for he who does so will not obtain any blessings in what he has accumulated and neither will his family.

Additionally, for such a person will be the recompense of the suffering of every Prophet, Messenger, Successor of the Prophets , the Truthful and the Martyr who was killed since the creation of the world till the Day of Judgement.

An Analysis of the Chain of This Tradition. These are the attributes, which qualified them to be mentioned among the scholarly authors. Furthermore, due to these very same attributes, attention was also paid to their significance and the significance of their books; the mentioning of the paths of transmission to them; along with citing the names of those who narrated from them; as well as those whom they narrated from.

The Second Chain of Transmission.

And Allah will elavate you a million ranks and you will be like him who was martyred with al-Husayn a and you will share with them in their ranks. Then you will be known as being with the martyrs who were martyred with him. Greetings to you, O son of the Messenger of Allah. Praise be to Allah for my intense grief. He possessed a book and a group of our companions narrate from it. Zayd seated one of them on his right and the other on his left. It had reached their attention that he was saying; 'the Imam from amongst us41 is not one who is politically quiescent Zayd understood the intent of his speech, and so remained silent and didn't answer.

Abu Bakr repeated his question thrice and each time Zayd did not answer him. This brings to a close the second chain. The Third Chain of Transmission.
